Hi my name is Kyle Basnett, and I am the owner of Basnett Construction. I work in the beautiful Santa Barbara County, California, including areas like Goleta, Isla Vista, Santa Barbara, Carpinteria, Hope Ranch and Montecito. I enjoy what I do, and I have an interesting origin into construction.
I started working in construction at an early age for my family. Our house caught fire and it was all hands on deck to fix it. At first I started out of necessity, but when I went to college pursuing a different career I missed it, and ultimately decided to pursue it professionally. I earned a B.A. in Business Management and an A.S. in Construction Technology, and came back into the field in earnest. I have worked my way south through California starting work for a company in Humboldt County, before moving to the Central Coast where I earned my General Contractor’s license in 2020, and now down to Santa Barbara.
As a general contractor I enjoy creative challenges and unique projects. Though I am good at, and really enjoy framing, I excel in finish carpentry. The motto of my company “Your vision. Our goal.” comes from the focus I put into my work. I aim to complete each project in an organized and timely manner, while ensuring that the end result is rewarding for both the customer and myself. I look forward to working with you to make your project fun, and to bring as many of your design ideas and hopes to life as possible.
